/ 01 · LEGACY
Three Generations.
One Obsession.
In 1977, Late Shri Pushkar Lal Birla supplied India's first online slitting toilet roll machine to Sehgal Paper Mills — pioneering a category from scratch.
In 1982, he invented India's first automatic paper napkin folding machine. The Government of India recognised this with the Bharat Ratna Visvesvaraya Award in 1986, presented by the President of India. It was further recognised with the NRDC Invention Award in 1988, from the National Research Development Corporation.
In 1999, his son Ashwani Birla left to build something better — faster machines, superior finished goods, nothing inferior to European imports. The industry spent the next two decades proving him right by copying his designs.
Today, Aahan Birla carries that standard into a third generation. 1,200+ machines. 150+ clients. 22 countries.
